Zootopia 2 was released on November 26th 2025, 9 years after the first movie in 2016. 

This has captured the attention of many individuals, increasing Zootopia 2’s popularity and expectations.

Zootopia 2 is an animated film directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard.

Set in a city inhabited by animals, the film follows bunny police officer, Judy Hopps, as she teams up with a con artist fox named Nick Wilde to solve mysteries surrounding a new character, Gary. 

The familiarity of Judy and Nick, evokes nostalgia and excitement for the audience as they reconnect with their favourite movie characters. 

The introduction of new characters adds depth to the plot, which revolves around uncovering hidden truths in Zootopia, getting the audience hooked on the story.

The second trailer, released on September 29th, reveals that Judy and Nick’s relationship faces significant challenges and requires repair. 

This development leads to Nick and Judy attending couples therapy.

Several returning members of the cast have been revealed “Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman” deciding to “reprise their roles as officers Judy and Nick” and Shakira agreeing to return “as Gazelle."

New members have also been revealed who will help introduce new adventures and bring the story together. 

These cast members include: Ke Huy “Quan”, who will play the role of Gary, Quinta “Brunson”, as Dr.Fuzzby, and finally Fortune “Feimster”, voice acting for Nibbles.

Quan began his career as a child actor at the age of 13 and has secured a spot in the upcoming Kung Fu Panda 4 movie.

Brunson, known for her acting experience in the series iZombie, Single Parents, and much more adds an element of warmth to her work.

Feimster also boasts extensive experience in stand-up comedy tours and has released several Netflix specials.

These new cast members show promise in delivering lighthearted comedy from countless other experiences in voice acting. 

The film has been released in both Canada and the United States, streaming on platforms such as Netflix, Prime, and Disney+.

This animation’s humorous and eventful nature has placed Zootopia 2 with a “92% on Rotten Tomatoes”, receiving “the highest-scored Disney animation movie since [Encanto]”.
