Soon, on March 15-23, 2025, Uijeongbu, Korea, will become the epicenter of the curling world as it hosts the LGT World Women’s Curling Championship.

Curling was first introduced in the Olympics at the 1988 Calgary Games and became an official event at the 1998 Nagano Olympics. 


South Korea made its Olympic debut in curling at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, where the women’s team ranked eighth, marking the beginning of the sport’s rise in the country.


Team Kim, a pivotal force in Korean curling, brought the sport to national fame during the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics, where they won a silver medal.
