On October 30th, Marvel Studios officially announced their upcoming series slate for Disney+ in 2025.
The announcement includes live-action series “Daredevil: Born Again,” “Ironheart,” and animated series “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,” “Eyes of Wakanda,” “Marvel Zombies,” “What If…?: season 3,” and “Wonder Man.”
"Daredevil: Born Again" continues the story of the "Daredevil" series, which aired on Netflix from 2015 to 2018.
The series tells the story of Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with enhanced senses who serves justice by day in the courtroom and fights crime at night as the superhero Daredevil.
The new season will see him fight his archenemy Wilson Fisk/KingPin, who has become the new mayor of New York.
Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox, and Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, have already appeared in the Disney+ series, “Hawk Eye,” “She-Hulk,” and “Echo”.
The series premieres on March 4, 2025.
“Ironheart,” which began production in June 2022, continues the story of genius inventor Riri Williams, first introduced in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”
Williams creates her own Iron Man-like suit using Stark Industries technology to become a hero.
The recently released trailer shows Riri using her new suit and introduces the series’s main villain, The Hood/Parker Robbins.
“Ironheart” will follow Riri after leaving Wakanda, as she develops a new suit and battles villains without Wakanda’s advanced technology.
The series debuts on June 24, 2025.
Marvel's new animated show, “Marvel Zombies,” will feature a dramatic transformation of Marvel's most beloved superheroes, including Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, and Hawkeye, who became part of a zombie army.
The series will continue the story from “What If…?” zombie episode and will be released in October 2025.
Another animated series, “Eyes of Wakanda,” premiering on August 6, 2025, will explore Wakanda’s intelligence agency, the War Dogs, and their efforts to recover vibranium artifacts.
“Your Friendly Neighborhood SpiderMan,” the newest animated addition to the franchise, will feature new characters including Minoru Nico and Amadeus Cho, alongside fan favorites such as Iron Man and Daredevil in a story following Peter Parker’s first year as Spider-Man.
The series debuts on January 29, 2025.
In “Wonder Man,” Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Simon Williams.
The series will feature Trevor Slattery, a character familiar to longtime Marvel fans.
Slettery first appeared in “Iron Man 3” posing as the terrorist leader of the Ten Rings, but was revealed to be an actor impersonating the villain known as the Mandarin.
He later appeared in “Shang-Chi: Legend of the Ten Rings” as a comic relief character.
The series will explore his new friendship with Simon Williams when it premieres in December 2025.
Marvel’s first animation series, “What If…?,” will conclude with its third and final season.
The recently released trailer illustrates unpredictable versions of Marvel heroes, such as a Captain America Robot and Cowboy Shang-Chi.
The final season will be released on December 22, 2025.
These new Marvel series are expected to revitalize the franchise following a challenging period of mixed audience reception and box office returns.
With its ambitious 2025 lineup featuring both beloved characters and fresh faces across live-action and animated formats, Marvel Studios prepares to chart a new course for its streaming future on Disney+.
