The biggest toy company, Lego, announced on August 1, 2025, that it will release a new series in collaboration with the Netflix series One Piece.
The Netflix series One Piece is a live-action adaptation of the famous manga “One Piece” by Oda Eiichiro.
The story follows Luffy, a young pirate who embarks on an adventure with his crewmates in search of the legendary treasure known as “One Piece.”
The series explores themes of friendship, dreams, and freedom through its adventure narrative.
As the original manga One Piece is the best-selling manga series in the world, Netflix’s live-action adaptation has proven highly successful, becoming the No.1 series on Netflix globally.
This is the first Lego product series to be based on an Asian manga.
The new collection is themed around season 1 of the Netflix series One Piece, which is currently preparing for its season 2 release.
The sets depict the journey of the Straw Hat pirates through LEGO builds from Windmill Village to the Battle of Arlong Park.
All products contain at least one of eight collectible poster bricks featuring the pirates, enhancing the collection’s appeal.
The centerpiece of the collection is One Piece’s iconic vessel, "The Going Merry Pirate Ship (75639)," which has been recreated with a total of 1,376 bricks.
The set features detailed reproductions of the ship's structures, including decks and cabins, and sails adorned with skulls wearing straw hats.
The set also includes minifigures of the Straw Hat pirates’ five founding members: Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, and Usopp.
Additional sets commemorate key battles and story moments.
"Battle at Arlong Park (75638)" vividly depicts famous scenes such as a collapsing tower, shooting range, and the forest where Usopp and Arlong’s henchman Chu face off.
This set is especially epic because it includes a Luffy minifigure depicting his signature stretched arm.
"Buggy the Clown’s Circus Tent (75637)" comes equipped with realistic action features such as a water tank, rotating disk, and trapeze bar, along with Buggy the Clown’s minifigure.
"Windmill Village Hut (75636)," where young Luffy first eats a devil’s fruit, allows builders to recreate the moment when his adventures begin, complete with Shanks and Makino minifigures.
For adult fans, "The Baratie Floating Restaurant (75640)" is the largest set in the collection with a total of 3,402 bricks.
The build features a fish-shaped exterior, a pier where the Going Merry can dock, and a fully detailed kitchen.
Easter eggs are hidden everywhere to create key scenes such as the gladiator battle between Zoro and Mihawk.
As the flagship set, it includes several exclusive minifigures available only in this collection, such as Marine hero Garp, world’s strongest swordsman Dracule Mihwak, Sanji’s mentor Zeff, and Marine recruits Coby and Helmeppo.
Complementing the main "LEGO One Piece" series, the LEGO Group will also release two BrickHeadz sets that display popular characters Luffy and Buggy the Clown in signature blocky figure format.
The five new "Lego One Piece" products will be available at online and offline LEGO stores nationwide beginning August 1st.
The two Brickheadz series will be released exclusively at official online and offline LEGO stores on the same day.
While some fans have expressed disappointment that the sets are based on the Netflix adaptation rather than the original manga, many One Piece fans eagerly anticipate the release of these collectible sets.
