World-renowned rapper Kanye West was banned from the online streaming service Twitch due to his inappropriate conduct during a live broadcast on April 25th.

During the stream, West directed a series of offensive remarks targeting those who he officially proclaimed as to be his opponents, including Jewish people, the LGBTQ+ community, and even his divorced ex-wife.

West initiated his seven minute monologue by disrespecting his ex-wife, Kim Kardasian.

West claimed that Kim was just an assistant of Paris Hilton, an American celebrity and entrepreneur, and that he ironically couldn’t imagine the assets he would have got inherited if he had a baby with Hilton instead.

In this process of him rambling his thoughts, West contrasted himself with Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has a divorce history due to his reveal of a hidden child between his housekeeper Mildred Baena.

West referred to himself  as losing his parenting ability, similar to Schwarzenegger getting his hidden kid taken over by the Baena family. 

He then shifted focus, publicly expressing his aggressive opposition towards the Jewish community on numerous occasions with slurs throughout the stream.

Amidst dissing his companion artist Playboi Carti, West performed a Nazi salute while proclaiming “Heil Hitler”.

From that point, he further repeated the phrase “Wear Swastikas,” referring to  his brand Yeezy’s T-shirt, which has a Swastika embedded on the chest side.

Midway through his one-sided speech, Twitch intervened by prohibiting Kanye’s access to their internet streaming service, issuing him with a temporary ban.

Twitch later released a brief statement, asserting  that West’s stream violated their community guidelines or terms of service.

Kanye West is considered one of the most controversial figures of this century for making controversial moves similar to the one above.

West’s drastic behavioral shift in the media has deeply disappointed fans in many different aspects, leading them to turn their backs against him. 

Though primarily, he wasn’t perceived as troublesome; in fact, in former days, Kanye West was regarded as one of the most prominent rappers and producers to exist in this generation of music.

With his astonishing performances in producing albums, he compiled multiple achievements and awards through his rap career.

However, in recent years, West himself has tarnished his own legacy with his erratic acts on social media. 

For instance, West has been using the social media platform X to speak up about his idea since before the streaming incident, up to this day.

His uncensored and ridiculous utterance, majorly composed of supporting Nazism and disrespecting his adversaries, is creating flaws in his footprint.

Moreover, in repetition of his chaotic behaviors, West was found to be losing focus on his music as well.

His recent album Vultures series was poorly received, triggering unfavorable responses from the audience.

His recent album received overall similar reviews, referring to it being only focused on conveying his ideology rather than by musical craftsmanship. 

“The Vultures album feels, for the first time in West’s career, profoundly cynical.” stated Pitchfork.

His increasingly immature comments on social media are continuously disregarding his legacy and it is evident that he will lose his position as the greatest of all time if he proceeds with such actions.
