Immigrants are rushing towards the United States border as the improvement of the immigration law could be enacted at any time soon by Trump.

Immigrants from neighboring  countries are undertaking harsh journeys to cross the U.S border before Trump redefines immigration  and reinforces the borderline.

The majority of these immigrants are found to sneak in through overland routes which is the reason why the government is focusing towards Canada and Mexico, the only two countries sharing border lines  with the U.S.

On November 5, 2024, Donald Trump, former 45th president of the United States, was re-elected as 47th president as a Republican, defeating  Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee.

In this election, Trump introduced unprecedented agendas that caught people’s attention; among his overwhelming plans, one of them was to propel illegal immigrants within a legal process.

Trump has given a thorough explanation to the audience regarding his strategy of expelling illegal immigrants using the military and law enforcement.

He asserted his intentions to reduce the number of illegal immigrants into half every single year from the time he comes back to the office.

Trump also emphasized that he will prioritize ejecting out immigrants with criminal records and those who were already ordered to deport.

Since his last term, Trump has continuously endorsed expelling illegal immigrants; he proposed his idea of strengthening immigrant restrictions before which eventually was rejected.

Currently, there are an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S that are in the boundary, with more than half already having been flagged  by the government.

Furthermore, he is currently in discussions  with the executives from Mexican and Canadian governments to collaborate on prohibiting immigrants from crossing border lines.

Both countries are currently engaged in their debate, trying to reach an agreement.

Moreover, Trump’s zeal for removing illegal immigrants has been evident in his recent social media post.

Trump wrote his reaction towards a murder case caused this year’s February that was related to an illegal immigrant, which is going viral now.

The case involved a nursing student Laken Riley was brutally murdered by a Venezuelan illegal immigrant Jose Ibarra; he was sentenced to life in prison in court.

Following the announcement, Trump posted on his X account (formally known as Twitter) his true feelings for what happened to Riley's family and his opinion on kicking out illegal immigrants.

“It is time to secure our Border, and remove these criminals and thugs from our Country, so nothing like this can happen again!” he posted on social media.

His comment on Riley’s case  exemplifies his abrasive criticisms of  the current U.S immigration policy.

Likewise, his recent statements on press and social media are showing his dedication towards ejecting illegal immigrants off the U.S territory.

Trump is set to return to the office on January 20, 2025 and the surging crowd of immigrants are likely to continue by then.
