Former President Donald Trump was elected as the 47th president of the United States on Wednesday, November 6th, marking a historic return to office for a non-consecutive second term.

The election began on Tuesday, November 5th.

Donald Trump from the Republican party secured 295 electoral votes (73,407,735 votes, 50.7%).

His victory included Montana, Kansas, Texas, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida and several other states.

Third-party candidates Jill Stein, Robert Kennedy, and Chase Oliver, representing the Green party, Independent, and Libertarian parties respectively, received 0 electoral votes, having no impact on the final outcome.

While typically outspoken about his achievements, Trump has maintained an uncharacteristic silence on social media following his victory.

In his victory speech delivered in his home state of Florida, Trump emphasized untiy and renewal.

"It's time to unite, and we're gonna try. We have to try…. I saw that in the first term, when we became more and more successful, people started coming together,” Trump said.

“Success is going to bring us together and we are going to start by all putting America first.”

President-elect Trump outlined his vision for creating a “bigger, better, bolder, richer, safer, and stronger” America.

Ohio Senator J.D.Vance will succeed Harris as Vice President.

The election results have sparked diverse reactions worldwide.

Several international leaders, including Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have welcomed Trump’s victory.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended their congratulations, emphasizing opportunities for international cooperation.

Domestically, the response remains divided.

Critics have expressed concerns about Trump’s “America First” stance, his approach to immigration, and his positions on social issues and global alliances.

As the president-elect prepares to return to office, questions remain about how his administration will address these divisions while tackling both domestic and international challenges.

Key administration positions are beginning to take shape, with economic advisers and policy experts from his previous term expected to return, though specific appointments are unannounced.

The transition team has indicated that major policy initiatives will focus on border security, economic growth, and energy independence during the first 100 days.
